A facial mask can be a creamy masque or a clear Masque and can and should only be applied after a thorough cleansing of the face and or body. A natural and effective Masque should contains natural plant extracts such as (Watercress – Burdock – Sage – Lemon – Ivy – Soapwort – Lemon Oil – Citronella Oil- Mint- Witch Hazel – Chamomile – Allontoin – Orange Oil – Lavender Oil etc… ) the Masque is intended to offer a maximum deep cleansing. There are different kinds of masks for different type of skin ; it is advisable that a Licensed and trained Esthetician should check your skin type prior to applying a Masque to insure that the proper Masque is in fact will give you the best expected result and it is the appropriate Masque for your skin type. Prior to applying the Masque you must cleanse the skin, do a thorough extractions, then apply the Masque never try to extract your Acne without a licensed and trained esthetician to avoid Acne Scaring. The perceived effect of a masque treatment will insure that your skin will be kept clean and will avoid any clogging of the pores which in turn can create Acne , or premature aging.
Masques are generally washed off with tepid warm water, wiped off by a CLEAN damp cloth, certain masques can dry and they can be gummed off in a circular motion by a clean hand. Duration for wearing a mask depends on the type of mask and the directions specified by the product itself. The time can range anywhere from 5 minutes to 15 minutes an overnight can be excessive especially if the masque contains a high active ingredients.
